Eminem - 8 Mile

I just loved Eminem in this film. The battle scenes were off the charts. I thought he did a wonderful job, of course it helped that it was based on his background but still. His acting ability was not that bad. I wonder if they put him in a different, off beat kind of role if he could pull it off.
Did the acting bug take a hold of this guy for a bit or was this his way of letting everyone know more about him? It makes you think whether it was just a publicity stunt or if he wanting to know the feeling of acting. I am still up in the air on this one but, I have to say I am leaning more towards the first due to the fact, he has not shown a real interest in any other acting gigs.
